Compute Grid Watch organizes public records about AI data-center power projects. We favor a smaller verified record over a larger plausible one.

1. Source hierarchy

We start with permits, regulatory databases, court records, filings, and dated official orders. Company statements are useful for promises and plans, but remain labeled as company statements. Reputable local, national, trade, and investigative reporting supplies context and independent observations. Documented community testimony and concerns remain attributed to the people or organizations expressing them.

2. Fact, claim, and plan

A fact is something supported by an accessible record and stated no more broadly than that record allows. A claim keeps its speaker attached. A plan or deadline describes an intention or obligation; it does not prove physical completion. For this reason, the Southaven “69 → 0” rail is explicitly a scheduled transition—not a live progress meter.

3. Dates and verification

Published dates describe the source. Access dates describe when we reviewed it. “Last verified” is the latest date on which the tracker’s material claims were checked against the source library. We do not silently use the current date as proof that an older statement remains accurate.

4. Conflicts and uncertainty

When sources disagree, we show the disagreement and avoid averaging it away. If a count or status is not independently confirmed, we say so. The absence of a newer disclosure is not evidence that a planned event occurred.

5. Corrections

Material corrections should record what changed, why it changed, and which source supports the revision. Before a public deployment, the site owner must activate corrections@aipowertracker.site. During this local preview, that address is a configuration placeholder and may not receive mail.

6. Automation policy

P0 data is reviewed before publication. Automated collection or language models may assist future monitoring, but they will not publish factual changes without human review. We do not republish paywalled article text.
